MEET THE BAND

Sarah

Sarah is lead vocalist and the most recent member of Toccata. She is full of enthusiasm and being the youngest (and best looking), she has brought a breath of fresh air and a whole new dimension to the band who have rapidly rearranged the set list to suit a female voice. The band repertoire now includes a very large proportion of modern contemporary pop, motown and classic female dance standards spanning all decades, guaranteed to keep a dance floor full. This is in addition to the already existing very large repertoire, now enabling the band to truly cater for every musical taste, and every age group, ideal for weddings and parties.

Colin

Colin is the second guitarist/vocalist of Toccata. Colin’s musical career dates back as far as 35 years and has vast experience in various genres of live music to include; blues, rock and roll, swing, pop and rock, playing in all types of venues from pubs and clubs to universities. He is well known by all the local musicians within his home area having played with almost all of them at some time in various bands or open mike nights which he organises and hosts. Colin is also very keen on song writing and recording, owning his own home studio. On a lighter note, Colin also owns and presents a Karaoke show which can also be incorporated into an evening’s entertainment should the client so wish.

Clint

Clint is lead guitarist/vocalist with Toccata, he also doubles on keyboards and occasionally takes up lead vocals. A guitarist of outstanding quality having started at a very young age. He is a musician’s musician and a master of his instrument, held in very high esteem by everyone his has worked with over the past 30 years. He has played with various bands, pop covers, blues, rock and roll, classic rock, cajun, ceilidh and has played every type of venue from cabaret to festivals. Clint is also involved with other music projects and owning a recording studio, he is a keen songwriter/session musician. During his career he has appeared on TV and met and worked with many household names in the music business. In the early 90’s he completed a very successful tour of Russia.

Glenn

Drummer and vocalist with Toccata. Glenn’s background lies  mainly with the pop/rock/blues scene. Glenn’s musical career started over 30 years ago when, as a teenager playing in a cabaret show band, his potential was spotted by a talent scout and was subsequently invited to join the prestigious National Youth Jazz Orchestra, since then, as they say, the rest is history. He is also one of the founder members of acclaimed rock band Marillion and has also played in various pop/rock and tribute bands touring the American air force bases here in the UK and Germany.  He too continues with other musical ventures, including a rock/blues band.

Chris

Chris is the bassist/vocalist with Toccata, boasting over 25 years experience in the live music business. Proficient in all styles of music ranging from rock and pop, funk, jazz, reggae, swing, ceilidh, country and western. This experience has been gained in countless numbers of duos, trios and bands. He has worked many years as a successful solo artist and has worked as a professional full time musician both in the UK and on the continent. Accolades include support act to many 60's/70's named acts. Proficient as a sight reader he also teaches bass and regularly deps with other bands when required. Chris has a wide musical repertoire and is also able to double on guitar. Socially, he has a good sense of humour and is somewhat of a joker and always try to involve an audience as part of the show.
